• Feb 2018 - Great Day Washington - Sokanista and the Soka Tribe Chiefs visited the morning show to share how Soka Tribe now has a performing group, curates experiences and creates cultural programming

• May 2017 - Great Day Washington - Soka Tribe joined Markette Sheppard and Chris Leary on Great Day Washington to give them a taste of the Caribbean! Soka tribe performed a segment from the "Tales of the Tribe" piece that will debut at the Dance Caribbean Collective's Our Caribbean Tradition Festival.

• May 2017 - Popville - Soka Tribe Dance Performance noted in 2017 Funk Parade Line-Up.
• Feb 2017 -VoaAfrique - Sokanista and a Tribe member tell hosts about class and the Soka Tribe origins.
• Jan 2017 - Department of Parks & Recreation - Soka Tribe led two 30-minute classes for DC residents of all ages in the Columbia Heights Recreation Center.
• Jan 2017 - Washingtonian - Picture of Shermica “Sokanista” Farquhar after performance at the Omni Hotel for the “Things To Do DC” New Year’s Eve parties.
• Dec 2017 - Rock Your Block - Shermica “Sokanista” Farquhar talked about Soka Tribe’s origins, entrepreneurship and the importance of giving back.
